At See Me Grow and Learn, we believe children learn best when they are actively engaged—moving their bodies, exploring new ideas, creating, experimenting, and having fun!

 

Our SMGL Studio is a dedicated space designed to give children opportunities to move, create, collaborate, and discover. Through our Move & Groove Program, children participate in intentional experiences that support physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and creative development.

 

Move & Groove isn't simply about keeping children active. Every activity has a purpose. We use movement, music, STEM, dance, and hands-on challenges as tools for learning and development.

 

Our Move & Groove Programs

 

🤸 Tumbling & Movement

Tumbling gives children opportunities to develop strength, balance, coordination, body awareness, flexibility, and gross motor skills. Children practice movements such as rolling, jumping, climbing, balancing, and navigating different equipment while learning how their bodies move through space. As children gain confidence in their physical abilities, they also develop **independence, perseverance, spatial awareness, and self-confidence.

 

🎵 Music Days

Music is a powerful tool for early childhood learning. During Music Days, children explore rhythm, tempo, beat, instruments, singing, dancing, and creative movement. Music experiences support language development, listening skills, memory, self-expression, coordination, and social interaction. Children learn to follow rhythms and directions, take turns, express themselves creatively, and experience the joy of making music together.

 

💃 Collaboration with AMA Dance

Through our collaboration with AMA Dance, children are introduced to dance and creative movement in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Dance encourages children to explore balance, coordination, rhythm, body control, spatial awareness, and self-expression while building confidence in their ability to move and perform. Most importantly, children learn that movement can be a form of communication and creativity, not simply following steps.

 

🔬 STEM Learning

Move & Groove also gives children opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through hands-on experiences. Children investigate how things work, make predictions, test ideas, solve problems, build structures, and experiment with cause and effect.Our STEM experiences encourage children to ask questions and think like scientists, engineers, and problem-solvers. We aren't just giving children the answers, we're giving them opportunities to discover them.

 

🧗 Obstacle Courses

Obstacle courses turn movement into a problem-solving adventure! Children climb, crawl, jump, balance, weave, and navigate challenges while making decisions about how to move their bodies through the course. These activities help develop gross motor coordination, balance, strength, spatial awareness, motor planning, executive functioning, and perseverance. Children learn that sometimes the first attempt doesn't work, and that's okay. They can try again, adjust their approach, and keep going.

 

Learning Through Movement

One of the most important goals of Move & Groove is helping children understand what their bodies are capable of. A child balancing on a beam is developing more than balance. A child navigating an obstacle course is developing more than gross motor skills. A child dancing to music is developing more than rhythm. A child building a structure is developing more than construction skills. Every experience creates opportunities for learning across multiple developmental areas.

The SMGL Studio was created with a simple idea: Children should have space to move, explore, experiment, and be themselves. Move & Groove gives our children experiences that may look like play on the surface, but underneath the fun is intentional learning. We want children to leave the Studio feeling stronger, more confident, more curious, and excited to try something new.
