About our program:

Toddlers are a breed all their own and we love them for that! Our Blue Room will provide your Toddler with more structure as they learn to navigate the school schedule. Toddlers will have many opportunities for creativity and exploration as they grow and learn.

We offer a digital daily note via the Tadpoles app that will provide you with a chronological breakdown of your child's day, including the following:

  • Diaper changes (every 2 hours)

  • Meals (AM Snack at 9, Lunch at noon, and PM Snack at 3:10 pm)

  • Nap (from 1-3 pm)

  • Adorable pictures.

  • Lesson Plans (weekly)

  • Monthly Newsletters

Our Blue Room Teachers not only encourage active free play, but they plan lessons that help develop each child to grow and learn at their own pace. Some of our lessons focus on:

  • Sensory Play: Toddlers will still use all their senses to explore the world around them! We provide toddler-friendly sensory exploration. From water play to taste-safe playdough, we find ways for Toddlers to explore new textures, smells, sounds, and sights!

  • Language Development: By the time the children are Toddlers, they are showing great understanding of language. Now we want them to express it too!  Teachers will encourage children to say and repeat new words, including basic feeling expressions. Our teachers will do this through modeling, stories, songs, and just general day-to-day conversation.

  • Fine Motor Development: Now that Toddlers can reach, grab lift, and throw, our teachers will work on developing those skills to do things such as hold a spoon to feed themselves, and use their pincer grasp to move objects from one place to another.

We also offer Creative Exploration, Social and Emotional Development, as well as Music and Movement.

Goals:

By the end of their time in the Blue Room, your Toddler will have grown into a 2-year-old! In order to be ready for the 2-year-old adventures in the Yellow Room, the children will have become more consistent with the classroom routine, using more words, and ready to face the next challenge!

How we achieve this:

Our teachers all plan guided learning activities and set time for large and small group interactions with children to help achieve this. They work closely with the teachers in the next room to make sure the children are ready to go on!
