About Our Program:

Toddlers are a unique and wonderful age, and we love supporting them as they grow! Our Blue Room provides toddlers with more structure to help them adjust to the school routine while still offering plenty of opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery.

We provide parents with a digital daily note via the Tadpoles app, giving a detailed, chronological update on your child’s day, including:

  • Diaper changes (every 2 hours)

  • Meals (AM Snack at 9:00 AM, Lunch at 12:00 PM, PM Snack at 3:10 PM)

  • Nap time (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

  • Adorable photos throughout the day

  • Weekly lesson plans

  • Monthly newsletters

Learning and Development in the Blue Room

Our Blue Room teachers encourage active free play while also planning targeted lessons designed to help each child grow and learn at their own pace. Some of our focus areas include:

Sensory Play
Toddlers continue to explore their world through all their senses. From water play to taste-safe playdough, we offer a variety of toddler-friendly sensory activities that introduce new textures, smells, sounds, and sights.

Language Development
At this stage, toddlers understand a lot of language and are eager to express themselves. Our teachers encourage children to say and repeat new words—including basic feelings—through modeling, stories, songs, and everyday conversations.

Fine Motor Development
As toddlers gain more control over their movements, we help them refine skills like holding a spoon to feed themselves and using their pincer grasp to move small objects from one place to another.

We also provide opportunities for Creative Exploration, Social-Emotional Development, and Music & Movement to support well-rounded growth.

Social-Emotional Development
We focus on helping toddlers build important social and emotional skills such as recognizing and naming their feelings, beginning to share and take turns, and developing a sense of independence and confidence. Through guided play and consistent routines, children learn to express themselves, manage frustrations, and build positive relationships with peers and adults.

Goals:

By the time your child is ready to leave the Blue Room, they will have grown into confident 2-year-olds! To prepare for the next stage in the Yellow Room, toddlers will be comfortable with classroom routines, use more words to communicate, and be ready to take on new challenges.

How We Achieve This:

Our teachers thoughtfully plan guided learning activities and create opportunities for both large and small group interactions. They work closely with the Yellow Room teachers to ensure a smooth transition, supporting each child’s readiness for the next step.
